Start Labeling Jesus Films

I am really sick of seeing something that might be interesting, only turn out to be a gigantic preachy load of crap. Please start labeling movies "Jesus Films", so the rest of us don't have to waste our time.

reply

Right after IMDB starts labelling loony left films like Truth, Gasland, This Changes Nothing, etc. CBS refuses to advertise the revisionist Truth (2015)!

Check yer Privilege, White Boy! WOO WOO!

reply

lol, you're an idiot, try using imdb before watching a movie.

Would love this as well. You have to completely throw all logic and sense out the window to believe in what this movie attempts to portray.

reply

Umm.....the movie specifically addresses people like yourself who are actually the ones throwing logic out the window to dis believe this stuff.

If you disagree, feel free to explain why the wires were cut. Why he had such a massive overlook and didn't think of the leaking gas on the powder substance, or why all the students reported seeing what they saw? I suppose all of those students had some secret agenda that they were collectively pushing to try and deceive everyone. Right.

reply

there were a lot of people in the room. Doris could've cut the wires. one of the kids could have. any of the teachers that were present. it's hard for 2 people to pay close attention to 100 other people in a small room.

angels? the kids were getting sick and throwing up from the gasoline fumes..it would be silly to assume that the fumes wouldn't also cause delirium...hallucinations based on the stories that their families believe or what they've learned from going to church.

in times of desperation or situations of duress..it's not uncommon to look for any strand of comfort. especially as a child with an active imagination. identifying members of their families...there were photos all over the house of their loved ones. combine that with promises that "they're up in heaven watching over you"...children will put 2 and 2 together and most of the time come up with the same outcome.

there are lots of logical explanations that i feel like were completely ignored over the spectacle of "he protected everyone".

reply

Yeah, of course. Little kids always become Detective frickin McLane when faced with a psychotic hostage situation.

Mass hypnosis theory can be possible if there was suggestion to the children. Prayer wasn't planting angel hallucinations. Of course, if you're an atheist, you'll reject any spiritual connection in this traumatic situation, and explain the outcome with SCIENCE. I have to agree that after praying, clipped wires, an upward instead of horizontal explosion, innocuous shrapnel flying, and zero deaths points to divine intervention.

When one person suffers from delusions, they call it insanity. When many people suffer from delusions, they call it religion.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.

reply

It should be lumped into "contains elements of Fantasy"

reply

You should be lumped into "morons who watch movies they know they won't like and then must go onto IMDB to complain about watching a movie they knew first hand that they wouldn't like."

reply

It has the word "miracle" in the title and the poster shows people praying. The only one victimizing you is yourself through your own ignorance.

reply

Those two things do not mean a movie will be preachy propagandist crap.

reply

Quite. Miracle at St. Anna is in no way a trite MOTW-quality preachy brain dead thing. But it has "Miracle" and the name of a Saint in it. The 2004 film Miracle is a sports movie and not of the Angels in the Outfield variety.

Speaking of which, remember when you could have a movie where God or angels came and talked and it could be serious, fun, adventurous, or anything else but didn't have to be preachy and stupid?

reply

Blame yourself for not recognizingCan't you read?? Doesn't the word miracle in the title give you a clue? Didn't you read a description of the movie before you watched it?? Blame yourself for renting the movie without using any common sense - it has the indicators of the movie's contents. Blame your own ignorance and intolerance.

This movie is actually a remake. If anyone is interested in seeing a movie about this crime rather than with the religious overtones, then might I suggest that you check out a film from 1996 called "To Save The Children". Same story, same crime, same town, same state. Check it out if you wish....
