When does season 2 air in the United States?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Never mind. Just found an article on deadline.com yesterday which stated that it airs beginning February 12. Yes!

I am beyond thrilled!!!!!!

Wait, it is a whole new story not a continuation of the old one?

reply

Yes, it's a new story.

If there aren't any skeletons in a man's closet, there's probably a Bertha in his attic.

I also thought it would be a continuation. Considering the glacial pace of the series, the ending seemed rushed. Were we to assume Oliver's art on the snowy window was all in the father's mind?

If anyone read a recent review, which was basically a reminder to catch Season 2, they would have noticed there was a photo of James Nesbitt and Frances O'Connor and a mention of Arsher Ali returning as the journalist. Guess the magazine editors need to double check what leaves their art department before the layouts are sent to the printer! 

The review/reminder was in either Time Out or ET Weekly,

emo_ville2002 I am disappointed it will not be a continuation. THE FAMILY also ended in a very unfinished way. I would like to have seen more closure to season 1 and his father's journey to find Oliver.

reply

We get a sort of "closure" to season 1 in the first (or perhaps the second) episode, while Julien Baptiste's daughter is watching the news recounting what happened (yes, we find out whether Oliver is alive or dead, but of course I will not spoil that here). This is the one of only two times in the entire second season that something from season 1 is mentioned, with the second one being a casual remark about Tony Hughes' character, much later in the season.

Fanboy : a person who does not think while watching.

I am sure Oliver is dead..... sad ending to season 1.

reply

It is a completely new story, totally unrelated to season 1 - to the point that someone would not even need to watch season 1 to follow it, except perhaps to better understand Julien Baptiste's character.

I'm guessing Julian still has his limp, but that you'd need to watch season 1 to know why, correct?
