I prefer the format, style, and delivery of AMW compared to this. I like how AMW featured multiple fugitives. With this show if the story is boring then the entire show is boring.

I think John Walsh AND all the shows supporters fought to keep making episodes of AMW. I heard there was a lot of people on forums and such asking to keep the show BUT (just what I heard) fox thought it cost too much to make / didn't make enough money. And all the reality shows clogging up the airs cost little to make vs. the money they make back from advertising.
In any case, as much as I liked AMW, I enjoy this show also. Boring? I have yet to find one boring story on it. I'm kind-of liking how they go more in-depth into one story. An awful lot of commercial breaks though.
Remember AMW went to Lifetime for 1 season after Fox. I'm shocked they couldn't find another network to put AMW on!

I don't remember but I believe you ;o).I was real disappointed when AMW went off the air too. That's why I was so happy to see "The Hunt". It seems to get a lot of negative criticism on here. But it's enough like AMW for me. I don't sit around lamenting or thinking about any differences now. I just enjoy the show.
The things people criticize make me laugh. For instance, the music or opening blurb. Do people really watch the show for that?!
AMW had a long run. Things end, that's how it is. This show actually has me a bit creeped out lately.
Also I think it really is pretty much the same show as AMW, Only with enough of a difference to Avoid any negative legalities. I think they made it as close to the same thing as AMW without getting breaking any of those legal copyright laws or whatever.
There is no copyright on breaking news. This CNN show could have the save format of several wanted fugitives per show just like AMW did!
