She's reaching out and he's being really unkind when he responds, as well as childish.
There should just be instant attraction? That's why you're supposed to date someone before you get married, so you can act on an attraction. Their situation is completely different. What a d-ck.
Nick was so mean. Wow was he harsh. Why not just ask for a divorce at this point. Sonia is trying and it's almost like he has completely shut down with her and isn't even trying. Sonia has come a long way with the dogs and he wasn't even appreciative. He says he was but doesn't act like it. Maybe his dogs liked Sonia better after a while and he was upset lol Totally disgusted with his behavior.
He was pushed -- constantly, for weeks -- to open up. Pressed by the wife, the production, the experts. Opening up would mean to express his true feelings, and in this case he wasn't sharing those because it would hurt Sonia's feelings to tell her that he isn't attracted to her. Who wants to hear that their spouse isn't attracted to them?
Anyhow, he managed to hold off until he had a few drinks in him. Clearly he was under the influence of alcohol at the time that he finally opened up. And guess what? He told the truth, finally. And yeah, it hurt her (as he probably knew it would). But that's what everyone wanted, and now they've got it.
I didn't have a problem with him admitting that he wasn't into Sonia - I thought he was very nasty about expressing it though. He held this in to the point where he exploded. Not good. True he was pushed but he volunteered to do the show and knew he would filmed and interviewed a lot.
No one can help having an attraction or not having one.
He seems like a jackass. He sounded like a child. All relationships regardless of whether they are romantic or platonic require work. The fact that he doesn't understand that at his age is pathetic.
