I was so confused watching the Halloween episode...

We have had Stitchers on the DVR for awhile, and just watched the last episode where Cameron was shot...2 weeks later, I see it's on my DVR for 10/20 and I think: "Oh, they must be starting season 2 already."

Then, everyone acts fine, it was so weird. I had to look online to find out wtf was going on...

Cameron was never shot. Fisher (the detective) was the one who got shot. Fisher pushed Cameron down to keep him from being shot and Cameron got knocked unconscious. Kirsten stitched into the shooter and found out that Cam might have seen the license plate of the person that was the shooter's boss. Cameron then injected himself with something to stop his heart so Kirsten
could stitch into him and see if he got the license plate number.

Family channel always has holiday episodes of their shows that do not always line up with current storylines. They did it all the time with Melissa/Joey and Baby Daddy. I wonder if we will get a Christmas episode of Stitchers lol.

As for the timeline, I just think of it as the new season picks up where we left off and Halloween happens later... But that will depend on whether Fisher recovers since he was in the Halloween ep and was back to work at the precinct. I'm pretty sure Cam recover.

Well, my presumption is that the show was initially going to air in the fall of 2014, and the Halloween episode would have lined up with the holiday. When the show was pushed back to the following summer, the season-centric episode no longer made sense. So they held it back to air on Halloween again. It was probably originally episode 5 or 6.

True, Cameron wasn't shot, but after he stopped his heart so Kirsten could stitch him, the episode ended with him flatlining. You'd think the Halloween episode would at least have acknowledged that, maybe just by having somebody say something like "Sure glad we were able to bring you back."

Acceler8: That would actually be a BAD idea. This episode was broadcast OUT OF ORDER. The Halloween episode actually takes place in the MIDDLE of the season. Was it a mistake to air it out of order? Yes. But thinking that they could fix it to 'force' it to conform to the season finale cliffhanger doesn't quite make sense.

Boy, the internet sure came in handy the week THAT episode aired. So many people were totally confused... only when the word came down that this was aired OUT of order, did it make sense. :)

Dr. Kila Marr was right. Kill the Crystalline Entity.

You think it's bad for this show with one ep out of order? Try watching Girl Meets World where the majority of eps are aired out of order lol.

Thank God it wasn't just me....I wanted to refresh my memory on what happened before I started to watch the new season....so I went on demand and watched the "last episode" which was the Halloween episode. ...then watched the season premier and went...wtf???? So I came here to see what happened...or if I was suffering from a head trauma I wasn't aware of..hey it could happen.😱 Thank heavens it was just a scheduling oddity. Whew 😶

"when did it become acceptable to be so hateful to everyone?" This is a signature line 😳

I too found it completely confusing. I wanted to check and see what had happened in the last episode to refresh my memory and found it not making any sense with Cameron lying dead at the beginning of the next episode.

I've no problem with them having a special holiday episode, but they should have at least listed it, preferably in the episode title but at the very least in its description. They did no such thing and thus utter confusion.

The showrunner has stated that it was a dream sequence experienced by Cameron while flatlining, and that it reflects his fear and concern for Kirsten.
