I didn't read about its cancellation

According to the IMDb episode guide, this show is cancelled. It would have been nice if there had been some kind of notice. Oh, well. I wish all the actors involved luck in finding new roles and I look forward to seeing their next projects.

The episode guide doesn't say anything about a cancellation...

Up in the left hand corner. I used the app, I don't know if it is different on the web site. I opened episode guide and there were the two seasons encircled, but up in that corner it says "cancelled."

It could be an error. Not all of the info on IMDb is correct. But I've been looking, and I saw nothing written about it. It's rather annoying to be left uninformed for such a long time.

I'm using the app and it doesn't say anything about a cancellation.

OK, on the app, when you open up the site on the left side there are the words "episode guide". When you open the guide, you see "1" in a circle and "2" in a circle. Above the numbers, there is the word "CANCEL". I think it is all in caps.

When a show is renewed, one sees the next number, and the episodes listed are like 3.1, 3.2, etc, often without titles. There is no number 3 listed, and it does say cancel just above the numbers.

Honestly, I've never noticed this before, but I think that may be the only notification we'll get. But it does say it on other shows that I watch that I *know* have been cancelled.

reply

I feel so dumb. I think the cancel is to cancel access to the guide. But I never noticed it except on shows that actully *were* cancelled.

Anyhow, Sara says there is info on their Facebook page, but I'm not on Facebook. So, you can check it out there....

reply

As of 20 minutes ago, there was a new post on the show's Facebook page.

reply

At the present time, we're still awaiting word about a renewal for a third season. It's kind of ridiculous the network is taking so long to make its decision.

reply

Yeah, I did finally figure that out. I feel kinda silly, but I learned something....

And I really have been checking back for information and found nothing. Although the two lead stars tweeted something together yesterday, so maybe they are working again.

reply

They are trying to see how the other new shows do, so I say we'll hear something in the next week or two since both of their season finales are coming up. It really all depends on how many shows the network decides to renew among ones that haven't been renewed yet. I think Guilt is pretty dead, though it's the lowest rated show and costs a lot to make. But Dead of Summer has higher ratings then this show so we'll see what happens with that.

To me, that doesn't make sense. Stitchers started off as a summer show, but they moved it to the winter time slot, so season two began to air in March instead. If Stitchers isn't part of their summer lineup, then why can't they just renew it and we can have a winter show to look forward to?

reply

On Freeform they don't really consider anything a summer or winter show. They used to with the sitcoms but even they have different premiere dates now. It's very rare that a show only airs once a year on this network except for a 1st season show unless it's ratings aren't that great. Plus Emma just had a baby so even if it is renewed it is still likely a summer premiere date. Plus it might have turned out good that they did wait until the summer shows finished since before they started this was the lowest rated show that wasn't already cancelled and now it's Guilt. But anyway now it's just a waiting game. We should know something soon now that the summer shows are over. The harsh truth is that it doesn't look good. There are a couple of new shows coming up and they usually can more than one show. Unfortunately think it's going to be Guilt and this.

ABC Family(Freeform) does seem to like canceling shows with little to no notice. There have been like 5 shows that they cancelled that I had been watching that they seemed to cancel with no notice.

Was really hoping the show survives, like the stories......

There's been no word yet!

I (mistakenly) started this thread, but I can't believe we haven't heard anything yet. Is no news good news? Or has the show died a quiet death....

reply

Did they posting on their FB account so it may be good.

I saw some tweets from the cast about being back at work, but that was a long time ago. Freeform must have some pretty extensive holes in their schedule if they do renew this show. The ratings have been pretty bad, but their promotion of the show was just about nonexistent. Plus the time slot was weird. I set it up to record new episodes or I would have missed some of them.

I enjoyed the show well enough. I think there is more story to tell.

That really isn't much to go by. Ravenswood and Twisted both posted on their Facebook account up until the shows got cancelled.
