The novel really isn't any better... (spoilers)

I read the novel when it came out, which is why I bothered watching the movie, even though Ansel Elgort was cast. And people in reviews are saying they loved the book, but hate the movie. Doesn't make sense as the movie does follow the book.

The ending is just as bad. It doesn't really answer any questions. Like is he really going to marry that b-tch just because he likes her mother? The book just ends.
