Isn't this just a Laserblast reboot? Or does everyone but me know this already?

No, it is not. While it may hold some similarities, does not make it a reboot or a remake.

Laserblast is only the most critically acclaimed Sci-Fi blockbuster ever produced! It has world-class, cutting edge special effects, Shakespearean level acting and a musical score that will bring tears to your eyes. I can't believe that you've never heard of this masterpiece!
