Am I the only who sees this as complete rip off of Temptation?

Alright. If you are to break down what they show in the trailer. Girl is in a good stable relationship, she wants more. She meets a perfect guy, she falls for him. The guy turns out to be psycho. and her Ex helps her.
Reminds me a lot of Tyler Perry film Temptation: confessions of a marriage Counselor

Temptation? Not Fear, Fatal Attraction, Swimfan, or The Boy Next Door? You know, movies that feature a crazy stalker antagonist?



except that the plot of temptation revolved around the fact that the lead female was a married mom and a sex addict seeking counsel and was having multiple extramarital affairs. doesn't seem like the couple is married and the lead doesn't have any addiction issues. just a run of the mill breakup here and the next guy happens to be a mental case. not to mention that the woman in temptation ends up trying to kill herself and the woman in this doesn't strike me as the type.

in all honesty the only things they have in common is the fact that the female lead ends up in a relationship with a seemingly perfect guy who ends up crazy. all other details are completely different. there are several other films that would probably be a lot more similar.

Yeah it's really not that much in common like you said but if you're talking about Temptation with Jurnee Smollett, her marriage with Lance's character they never had kids..she caught HIV at the end and he moved on and had a son with someone else.

I am late but you're thinking of the movie "Addicted" based off of the zane books. I see how you've confused two because "Addicted" and "Temptation" are rather similar minus the sexual addiction and children. lol

This seems more like a Black rendition of "Fatal Attraction", but with a female protagonist.
I'm more annoyed by the fact that this story has been told a billion times.
If you're gonna copy other films, atleast copy a film that hasn't been seen in the mainstream often.
Besides, haven't we seen enough scandalous relationship dramas about Black couples (to ad nauseum)?

This one features an antagonist that is a psychopath/stalker and Tyler Perry's film didn't. That's the difference.

I immediately thought of Temptation as well, but there are previous movies before then that have similar stalker plots.

It seems the very usual real life story. First he seems like the perfect man, then he gets too controlling. She manages to escape the relationship. Stalker ex gets dumped and can't let go. If I can't have her no one will type of deal.
