#Dumbo the character is quite cute. But unfortunately, though it looks great, the movie lacks the sincerity and heart that made the animated original a classic. Too manufactured, and it’s super talented cast is a bit wasted on paper thin characters and relationships. -Mike M

Good to know.

I'm a HUGE Tim Burton fan, but some of his recent films have been patchy (*cough* Alice in Wonderland *cough*). I really want this to succeed.

I'm still shocked how Burton could fail so hard on Alice, i know he isn't what he used to be, but damn that should've been like Tony Hawk on a skateboard. Instead he made the most tired and unimaginative adaptation i've ever seen. That is if you can even call it an adaptation based on how far away from the source material it is. He might as well have removed the few connections to Lewis Carol's story that is there and made his own fantasy. Feels like that is what he really wanted to do but it wouldn't draw in the same audience.

I'm sure Disney isn't expecting big numbers from Dumbo, otherwise they wouldn't release it between Captain Marvel and Endgame. The elephant itself looks somewhat disturbing, perhaps it's the overall dark tone but I don't think kids are the main audience. The cast is also comprised of excellent actors but there's no one that would bring in the millennials, more like their parents.
