Gaspar should have won

Tim was redoing the same feel for design everytime. Katie was always about the acrylic.

I mean really, who wants furniture that looks like a stack of wood or has a giant fan in it? Belongs in a warehouse. Some guy who is still a kid at heart? And I'm not a fan of plastic and acrylic in furniture, but she didn't go with anything new.

Gaspar at least had variety. I don't get why they dismissed his desk as a kitchen island as bad.It means it had multiple uses and appealed to men and women.

Don't think I'll watch again.

I agree. I was shocked when Gaspar was eliminated in favor of Tim, even though the judges consistently praised his (Gaspar's) work more.

Best thing about Gaspar was that once he got past the disaster of a chair that was his first effort, he became a real advocate of "form follows function" and never let "clever" design get in the way of functionality. And his designs were all creative and beautiful as well.

I, too, was shocked when he was eliminated and wanted to see him get the ultimate win.

I would LOVE to have that desk that Gaspar designed for the final! What a great idea to have a way for the cord to stay attached to the device but still be hidden away. It's such a small detail but it makes a huge difference. To me, that's what design SHOULD be, not tables that look like a dead cow's skin or see-through Jetsons furniture that I'd be afraid to touch for fear of leaving fingerprints all over it.

It was that kind of detail that makes it special. I did get tried of all the plastic designs and that cow table was just awful. I know someone who is obsessed with cow stuff and I doubt even she would want it. It didn't even look good. It looked like 3rd grade paper mache.

And Tim's stuff all looked pretty much the same and appealed only to male aesthetics.

Living cows have the same skin. I suppose your glass is always half-empty, as well. Gaspar could have won the other final spot, but it's up to the subjective judges. Fingerprints are all over everything; they can easily be wiped off.
