All the "designs" look the same.
Preposterous, dull and simply obnoxious.
I get it, they have 3 x 8 hours to do something and that's not a lot. But these minimalistic, so called contemporary non-expressive things are being called "pieces of art" or as" simply wonderful" or "magnific"... come on...

At least the first season had more variety in it.
And how they all feel surprised and honoured and blessed when Ellen shows up for 5 minutes and tries to be funny....please...just don't...

I am sorry but it is obvious you have not built much furniture. Just getting a basic piece of furniture that looks like something you would buy at Havertys ready and finished in three days is a lot. The sanding, the finishing, the glueing, all those aspects take time, there's drying time, et cetera. Now you add in the fact that this piece has to be extremely unique and it has to use building techniques that the builders have never used before and are very difficult to pull off. The girl last week took metal and bent it in a certain angle and then bent two more pieces and they're all the exact same angle so they look totally perfect and that was in three days, finished it like she was working at toyota, perfect high gloss enamel finish and made a perfect table top. So many different things could have gone wrong and she pulled it all off. that is not easy.

Exactly why Miles should have been a finalist!! His body of work was beautiful and functional. Very disappointed this season.

I agree. I thought they were keeping Sef around for some reality TV drama. He is so weird and a little crazy. His designs are okay but I don't see how what he makes will translate into saleable products even in a high end market.

So did I. And the stats don't match up with the decision.
Miles: top 2-four times, wins-twice, bottom 2-once
Sef: top 2-twice, wins-once, bottom 2-four times.
That coupled with his rather basic design aesthetic (sure minimalist is great, but not if its always boring), tells me something is going on here!!!

Perhaps they want Vivian to win.. So putting her up against Sef in the finale as opposed to Miles guarantees that? I Snr know.. But it's all a bit fishy.
