New judge...

I'm finding I just can't like the new judge. He's so passive! I mean, come on this is a made-for-tv show and none of those people are actually paying their verdict. None of these Court TVs ever force you to pay the verdict. The show compensates the winner in exchange for them appearing so let's not pretend that this should be like a normal courtroom, it's not. So if we are tuning in for entertainment...entertain us. I realize Larry Bakman had to leave the show...and rightly so, but he was the temper, the fire that's now missing. The balance isn't there. I enjoyed the show because I really like the deliberation between the judges and the discussion of legal standing that is missing from single judge shows. We often see verdicts but don't get to see how they arrived there based on the law and precident.

This new judge has the personality of a piece of wood. Watching him is like watching paint dry. He got the job because he has been friends with judge judy for years. Bakman at least was colorful and gave the show some pizzazz. This guy is absolutely awful. I like judge shows but this one will no longer be one I watch. The female judges are catty and continually interrupt the people speaking but when someone dares to do the same to them they are treated horribly. Honestly, if this is what we have to replace Judge Alex, I will be looking for something else to watch. I can always record the people's court. I can't believe they wrecked a barely tolerable show with the new judge whose name I haven't bothered to learn because the minute he starts speaking in a monotone, I find myself nodding off. Whoever thought the change was a good idea should be fired or taken out back and shot. A terrible change that made an average show below average.

As I keep watching I'm noticing the two females being more aggressive and sometimes nasty. Wonder if this is an attempt to replace the fire that Bakman took with him. This shows feel is off. The balance is gone.
