very refreshing and interesting

To see women treating guys like jerks instead of the guys treating women like idiots . Strong feminist vibe to this movie and also really good acting . The main character was so funny at times with the stuff she said to guys .

Eh, I don't think women treating guys like jerks is feminism. I didn't find the MC to be a good example of a feminist ideal at all. She was just an artist losing her mind, who more or less acted like a petulant 5-year-old. The male characters (outside of the male lead who wasn't really very good either) were all just cliche props to point at as to why she was going mad. The guy who things rape is a joke and its all the woman's fault, the guy who is dismissive of creativity and physically dominates his girlfriend, the pornography. Low hanging fruit.

The only feminist element was the short fairly shallow explanation she gives about how men have effected her life when he asks her what all the felt dicks, and *beep* and vaginas are about.

Most of all it wasn't a horror film. Like, in any way.

I personally am in line with a lot of the criticism the film makes on social-sexual dynamics, but I don't think it did a good job with its overall message, which seemed like a cross between trying to show the damage that these sometimes dysfunctional elements of interaction can do to an overly sensitive person, and just building up an uninspired horror movie ending. Neither came across very well. I feel if the had dropped the quote horror unquote elements and dived a bit deeper into her life, and wrote some more nuanced characters for her to interact with, and come up with a less stupid conclusion, it would have been a perfectly decent film.

I did like the actors/writers art though. Seemed cool. The acting and general camera work, and production seemed solid as well.
