Excellent first episode.

A excellent first episode based on true facts which makes it more important, with actors portraying true life charactors to a certain extent. The first episode remided me a bit of True Detective, the issue with this being true is i accidently found out the killers name by looking which i should of waited but that's the thing with true based events real people lost their lives to the killer.

Really good first episode very good acting,i think we need to create a series which is like True Detective but uk based.

I agree, it was excellent.
Nice attention to detail with the street names and using a proper map of the area, instead of a made up version.
It did seem like most of the locations were filmed somewhere else. The houses of the main families were obviously different but the other outdoor location shots were in the right style for the area even though they weren't the real location.
But there was one shot of Baker by himself on Black Pad that looked spot on. The metal fence the wooden panels, the darkness of the overhanging trees was perfect. I do wonder if that was filmed in the real place.

Well I'm a local (then and now), so obviously I know the killer's name, but I don't know who's playing him in this show. So if we have seen him I couldn't point him out yet. The one thing about this that bugged me a little was the fake name they gave to the boy who confessed isn't a million miles away from the killer's name (same style). I wonder why when they could have picked any name?
