What was with the HUGE bushes on the men?

Adam's character in particular had a bush only a caveman would/could have. It was ridiculous! Was it just bad costume/makeup in order to hide the fact that they were fake penises?

reply

It's to hide the fakeness of their gentiles

reply

Probably to hide their real penises that are tucked under there.

Haha, I was thinking how incredibly hairy they were, too. The prosthetics were really good, because I didn't realize the men were wearing fake penises. I'm disappointed; I was impressed that the actors weren't afraid to show themselves like that. I did wonder how they specifically conveniently cast a man with a small penis and a man with a big penis.

Wasn't just the bush, Schwartzman flapped in the under water scene like a limp piece of plastic, which is what indeed it was.

I get it, while filming the actors are required to be nude for days and days in front of a film crew which is difficult, but likely due to the low budget of the film, the prosthetics were so bad that they should have just taken the nudity out.

reply

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the nudity is essential to the plot.

Well he's in his 40s. I don't shave my bush anymore.

reply

Yeah, but is that because you just can't see any more?

Sorry, low blow, literally. My apologies.

To me it was just so obviously fake hair, like a bad wig.
