Taylor Schilling as Emily and Judith Godrèche as Charlotte --- they look and act so alike in the movie that I am wondering if this is intentional. I am only 30 minutes in so if there is a reason as to why they're basically twins or fraternal twins at the very least...I will have to wait to find out. But it's not for nothing that they look exactly the same and even act that way and watching them on-screen together being all the same is bending my mind!
As much as I see it on the IMDb message boards I'm still amazed at how many people are watching a movie and then STOP it right in the middle, sign into IMDb, look up the movie, then compose a post asking a question about the movie they're watching. Really?! I just don't get this. Do you actually keep the movie paused and sit and wait for replies? Wait and read a few before you finish the movie? I doubt that. I think you probably post and go right back to the movie right? So then WHY stop the movie. Why not just watch the whole movie and then come here to post. Idk it's just so bizarre to me. To me it ruins the flow and experience of a movie to stop it to make posts and ask questions. Also, what if the ending it turned out that the women were actually sisters separated at birth? Wouldn't you feel dumb for asking that after 30 min when you could have just watched the whole movie and got your answer. "It's good so far...." "I just watched another 15 min so I'm about 45 min into the movie now. Wow that part in the message parlor was weird huh? Well okay I'm going back to watch the movie..." "I wonder why the Jason Schwartzman character asks so strange? Do you think hes lying about something? Idk I don't trust him" "OH okay! He's gay! That's so weird! Well it's almost over now" "I have a question. I still have 2 minutes left of the movie but I wanted to post this question here because for some reason I think the IMDb community is like my friends sitting in my living room - do you think of the kids didn't interrupt them they would have gone all the way? Do you think they will ever hang out again? Oh wait the credits are rolling. I missed the ending. Oh well. It was pretty funny huh?"
Maybe because they didn't want to forget? It was niggling their brain and they wanted to see if someone else posted a similar comment? Maybe the movie was paused for another reason? Why does it bother you so much?
Yeah, like I feel that they really took out a lot of frustration on me for no reason. I think my comment was quite innocent and trust me, I have gone to film school and spent countless hours in viewing classes. I know how to watch a film. Jaysus.
You know how to watch a film? Lol okay.... But it's not just you. Like I said I see this a lot and I'm just wondering in general why people do this? I personally watch an entire movie. And then come here to read other people's thoughts and ask my own questions. I'm not saying my way is the RIGHT way, it just always seemed strange to me how people just can't wait.
Sometimes I pause them because they seem so boring I want to find out what people think is good about them, and whether they're really worth finishing.
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA wow, I am *beep* flattered. Thanks for devoting all that text to me. Yeah, it was pretty funny, and this comment which is now a tangent of this film experience is even more funny!
