A horrible finale and a way more horrible cliffhanger

A cliffhanger should be unexpected but smooth and unintended. This cliffhanger is one of the worst I have ever see. It's not developing from previous plots, just like coming out of nowhere and bam!Writers create a cliffhanger. Just horrible.

Not really out of nowhere, we've seen this technology before - in the Roswell episode.

wait that was a zona aircraft, not an actual ufo? easily the worst episode in the entire three seasons.
