OK, so the flashbacks to young Eli are 1850. The "present day" is 1915. Assuming Eli is only maybe 14 in the flashbacks, that puts him at approximately 80 years old. He doesn't look 80 years old. Is that how old he is in the books?
shareI did the quick math, too, during the first episode and was a bit surprised that we're supposed to buy that Pierce's Brosnan's character is an octogenarian. It wasn't that big a deal at first, but once Eli started getting into quick-draws, and leading a posse on a hard ride, I'm finding it pretty hard to accept now.
