If you could change something about the movie what would it be?

I really enjoyed the movie, but I felt it was a little uneven, especially at the start.

I can see that both girls are good singers, but I think the film would have flowed a bit better without any of the band bits, they seemed out of place to me (especially the long gag where they sung at Tony Hale to distract him from his girlfriend).

Sarcastic answers aside, what would you change about the film to make it more enjoyable?

I'd make the Bratzis about an inch taller.

"She filled the blank with a tube of denture cream and a false sense of superiority."

Ditch the Bratzis and just focus on the girls. The Bratzis are probably the stupidest idea for a monster ever.

reply

That is the truth! If they would have ditched the entire Bratzi's (the stupidest idea ever) and just made this a straight teen comedy focusing on the girls it would have been so much better.

The CGI was really poor when the girls massacred the bratzis, they should have spent a little more time and maybe money on that. Also, Johnny Depp's character wasn't needed at all. And I agree with you on the band scenes, I guess those were just put in there to promote the girls singing skills, as they might pursue some kind of a music career, but that's just my guess.
Anyway, even with these shortcomings I really enjoyed the movie. :)

I'd get rid of all the Nazi stuff, have the monsters be more critter types and delete Ralph Garman's impressions from the flick. I think the stuff with the girls and the band was the best part.

K: Too bad it's Thursday.

I could have done without the video-game like pausing intros.

I don't know if it's because I'm so out of touch with teens these days and how much their daily use of their phones actually has a lot of stuff like this,
or if Kevin was so out of touch that he put this in there because he thinks that's what it's like these days or what it was like when he was young.

reply

I thought the video game intros looked straight out of the 80s, including the cheesy music that accompanied it. So I'd say that was referencing Kevin Smith's use, if anything.

Agree the CGI was horrible. Agree the Bratzis were stupid monsters.
I would have preferred to see a more grounded, straight up "Clerks" style movie without the villains.

"Aboot".

I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

I would have hired Neil Breen to direct it. Fateful Findings was a better movie than this piece of *beep* It was funny without trying to be. This was trying to be funny and just made me angry.

I would change my mind about making this dumb ass movie.

Choose wisely between a fact, opinion and a belief.

I felt the buildup was promising and interesting. Sort of a comic book style movie, especially how the different characters were introduced. However, it totally fell apart from when the whole plot of the Bratizs were introduced. Too silly, and not well executed and essentially just not that interesting.

It had the ingredients to start with. It should have focused on the two girls, the town etc... but go for a different sort of plot.... perhaps more like a Goonies sort of plot, I don't know.
