What was the point of spoilers

Those two female characters in the group, if they were just going to be quickly killed before even getting there? They seemed kind of pointless.



i wondered about this too. i guess they needed random people for the body count? what was so bizarre is that their deaths are filmed so poorly (EXTREME shaky cam and camera TOO close to be able to tell what was happening) that it was difficult to tell what was happening.

Dunno. I assumed 31 typically has 5 "contestants" so they were the expendable ones.

Expendable characters for the sake of having a violent scene when the group gets kidnapped. Made no logical sense, from the antagonists perspective. Kill off a few randoms and keep 5? Even if the game only needs 5 participants, why not dispatch them later, or just not include them at all?

So yeah, an excuse to have some brutality (shaky cam prevents us seeing this but it's implied) at the start.

We've met before, haven't we?
