How did Tony steal the drugs?

His wife mentioned that they keep track of inventory but he said there were ways around that. Did the movie give an indication of how he accomplished that without the company knowing? I re-watched it and thought there was supposed to be a clue near the beginning when he dropped off the samples with that doctor but it looks like he did exactly what he said so how did he steak the drugs without getting caught?

The movie did not tell you how he stole the drugs however the book says that when he was talking the samples out of his trunk he would open a box and take 2 bottles out and then close the box back up
