This is why I'm a feckin' Atheist...

No really. I'm serious.

Christians aren't like this. I'm Catholic, these people, there just crazy

Catholics are often some of the biggest pseudo-Christians around, many don't even believe in the Bible at all...they just believe in catholicism. If you give them clear examples of how unbiblical catholicism is they often try to discredit scripture in defense of catholic customs and traditions that are not only not in the Bible, but blatantly against its teachings.

And no, the original anti-theist poster is not atheist because of a film made within the past year, he was clearly an anti-theist before that.
He had no reason to even bother watching this film, other than the fact that it gives him an excuse to spout off anti-theist rhetoric.

The Bible itself has been copied and edited multiple times during the last 2000 years, and has about 40 different authors with varying intentions. I don't see much difference from someone who simply follows Catholic tradition and someone who follows The Bible.

There is a huge difference. The Bible is God's Word and therefore carries the authority of God and is perfect truth.

In start contrast, "catholic tradition" is oftentimes antithetical to God's Word - a.k.a. lies, and evil -, has no authority from God behind it, and is based on nothing other than the imaginings of evil men - a.k.a. popes and their underlings - who have fabricated a false hierarchy of authority for themselves in order to dupe the public into giving them money to make themselves filthy rich.

Your right! I know a Catholic who doesn't follow the Bible, for instance, the story of Adam and Eve (they were straight, not gay!) She says homosexuality is evolving!
I hope you got my point...

Jesus loves you!

I belong to Jesus: my Lord, Savior, my eternity, my everything. I love you, Jesus!

Jesus loves you!

Yeah, but he doesn't like you very much, princess. He says you're judgmental and hateful toward certain groups of people. He also wants you to stop saying you "belong" to him. I think he's embarrassed to be seen in public with you.

I feel you are probably looking for answers. I am very happy that you have taken this small step toward finding the truth of Christ. Please do not let the aesthetics of this movie hinder your search. I heard a man once say, "the people that get drunk on Saturday and go to Church on Sunday is why I don't go to Church. I ain't sitting beside a hypocrite". Guess who will be going to hell? I don't know because that is not my job. It's not God's job either. We make the desicion to believe based on faith. If one chooses not to believe, God will not force us nor will he send us to hell. We send ourselves to hell. So please, do not blame trivial things such as a movie on something as important as YOUR life and YOUR life choices.

No such thing as "hell". Your myths aren't scary.

And you sharing your opinion is not scary either. You denying the truth is not scary. You going through life lying to yourself, that is what should be scary. So think on this. If I am wrong, what will I lose? And if you are wrong, what will you lose? You nor I are going to change our minds. But we both can't be right. So again I ask, what if you're wrong? Heck, what if we're both wrong? And of course the easy answer is, "I would rather burn in hell than...blah blah blah". And before you say it, I am not being cynical or sanctimonious. I actually believe all people are good no matter what they believe. Do not take that out of context. Yes, there are plenty of bad people in the world. Both believers and non believers. I am not better than anyone, but likewise, someone with a different opinion is not better than me. We are truely equal in this life and the only differences come from our egos.

Pascal's Wager. The most morally and intellectually bankrupt argument you lot ever have. And yes, anyone who trots that out is always sanctimonious.

If I am wrong, what will I lose?

If it turns out the correct religion was some other hateful vengeful god, you're just as screwed as the rest of us.

Yes there is. Hell is where satan, his demons, and the ungodly live out their eternities.

You won't feel that way after you are living there forever.
