Tom the GPS

I'm confident that Mr. King is the voice of Tom the GPS-we know that he has various cameos over the years in his screen adaptations-anyone with me (or against) on this one? Anyone know for sure(?), I checked over the imdb page for this film and didn't see it mentioned, nor in the message boards so far.

hmm, it didn't sound like him. King has a distinct voice...unless it was him and they modified the voice, but I doubt it...

Tess was imagining Tom talking to her, etc. right? I kind of missed this. Kinda like those old ladies were characters from her mystery novels "If I were you, and in a way I am, I'd get out of here now" said the most prominent one @ the end. With those characters obviously not being real and Tom 'talking to her' are we led to believe that Tess went crazy? There is some kind of quote @ the end "after all you have to be a little crazy to do what I did, it doesn't just come out of nowhere" or something to that effect. can't exactly remember what she said.

Also, how was 'Tom' calculating the final location where Tess took down "Big Driver?" when she couldn't figure out how to find an alternate route @ the beginning which got her into trouble when Ramona set her up in the first place? He wasn't real so how could 'he' find a route that Tess, the human driver could not? If she doesn't know how to find a location (where BD was vs his brother) how did 'he'?

While she was giving that speech at the beginning of the film, she said that there had been voices talking to her in her head since she was a kid. The way I saw it, it was just a dialogue with herself.

The moment I read "BD" in your comment, the first thing that came to my mind was the killer in "A Good Marriage"! (another Stephen King adaptation!)

Yeah, that didn't sound like Stephen King's voice to me. And that was a pretty big speaking part - no "cameo". I doubt he'd do that.

It mentions in the trivia section that Stephen King is the voice of Tom/GPS.
