Low budget reenactments

These low budget reenactments are going to be the death of the I.D. channel. I don't know what is worse, these or the scripted reality shows with numerous editing cuts.

I wish I could agree with you, but I beg to differ. It seems the viewing public is getting dumber and ID's new formal is THRIVING. ID has become the new Court TV. Those of us who love true crime programs now have to catch our favorites on the OWN channel when they have Dateline marathons or catch the sensible ID shows in their scarcity.
I knew things were going downhill when they got rid of the message boards on the Discovery site and substituted it for their Twitter page. I feel you though.

Give it time, even the not so smart catch on. In case you hadn't notice when a show's ratings start to go down the channel or network will bend over backwards to try to promote the show. They will even use "write in campaigns" excuse to make the show look popular, even though the next ratings numbers show that it's hit rock bottom.

I agree. I watched this show, Cry Wolfe, for the first time today, and it was HORRIBLE. I didn't finish watching it because it was so phony, but they really tried to pass it off as actually happening in real time. I guess at least the other ones that have dramatizations make it obvious that it isn't real. As far as the crime shows, I prefer 20/20, Dateline or Paula Zahn. The vast majority of the other ones are reenactments, and I do not care for those.

And the acting is horrible.
