Not a documentary

this is just a badly acted "pretend" documentary and an insult to the audience. A new low for ID.

I know, I just watched my first episode and it will be my last. I guess if you are the kind of person who likes shows like Maury Povich, you might like this one.

Not sure how this even got renewed. Personally, I prefer shows like Homicide Hunter where they are up front that they are re-enacting cases rather than presenting it as a documentary.

Totally agree. Will not watch a 'fake documentary'. Just watched my first episode, and was entertained and interested, until I realized that the footage I was watching was fake. Set up to look like a documentary (talking to the crew: 'you guys stay back - way back, this could get dangerous'), and you think it is, until you notice the disclaimer at the beginning that these are reenactments based on past cases.

Not up-front about it, like 'Homicide Hunter', but sneaky about it.

Yech - bad choice on the part of the producers. They should have gone with all actors and been clear about it (like 'Homicide Hunters'), or used actual footage and been clear about that.

Yes, it's more low budget reality crap.
I'm about ready to steamroll my cable box. TV programming in general is at an all time low.

I disagree. I loved the first season. These are real stories, people, true. Yes, they are re-enactments but that is the very first thing they put on the screen, for 30 seconds, telling us it's a re-enactment. I say the second season is not nearly as good as the first, but disagree with all the hate. People who have never seen it try the first season if you can. Fine! It's not LIKE Homicide Hunter etc. It breaks the mold, does not involve murder and rape. I love the detective Brian Wolfe. Somebody says 'a new low' in TV ,,,gosh, it's REAL stuff. If you give this a 1 on a scale of 10, Kardashian and Honey Boo-Boo would get a minus 50.

I LOVE Joe Kenda and the show, but it has been in reruns for like a year, so you know there were some problems going on, with production. Very happy it's coming back in a few weeks. That show is hard-core so watcher beware. Most people I know would be too grossed out by it, Paula Zahn etc.

@tattycompliment Ack! Seriously?

Cry Wolfe CANNOT even touch the quality of excellent shows like Homicide Hunter (Lt. Kenda)...or, for that matter, most of the many re-enactment shows on the ID channel.

Since this was your one and only comment on the day you signed up and you haven't been back to IMDb; it's safe to assume that you're likely part of the show somehow: cast, crew, family/friends, or invested in some other way.

Cry Wolfe is absolute rubbish and deserves only to air (if it must) on channel with demographics for programs like Cheaters, Jerry Springer, Divorce Court, etc.

Fine, you hate the show, I like it. I loved the first season, second one wasnt that good. I was quite eloquent in my first email, dont know what else to say. Kenda's show is far better, and Paula Zahn, but again, Cry Wolfe does not have the severe violence and debased people apparently who you're very comfortable with. But man, Wolfe is so cool, a man's man. Suggesting I'm part of the show is laughable and Trump-like paranoid and deluded. It is not like Cheaters or Divorce Court. Whatever, you and your assessments are jacked.
