shaky camera...

... affects all the viewing experience. It shakes when there's action and it shakes when the film's slow. It makes you think about the camera instead of about what's happening.

I actually didn't find it distracting in this movie, although I often hate that technique. The quasi-pseudo-documentary feel worked for this story.

That's good. I may give it a try again. But i seldom waste time on films that make me feel dizzy or that aggravates me - there are so many good films to waste your time on instead! :-)

It's a contemporary stylistic thing, and it can be awful, like the abuse of ZOOM ca. 1970.

At the same time, I think the brain gets used to it, and it can be transparent after a while if done well. I didn't even notice it here, particularly.

(Obviously, your mileage may vary.)

Thanks for flagging this up. I can't stand this 'technique' - i'll give it a miss.

I didn't find it a problem.
