So DULL!

You obviously missed the point of the movie. It's not a Michael Bay kind of film full of explosives, big booms and war heroes à la Rambo. The commander had to face realistic problems and make hard decisions regarding his involvement with the locals, his moral duties, the respect of the law and his will to protect his men. It's a very good film that asks good questions about the ethics of war (if any) and the presence of the coalition in Afghanistan. Your loss if you couldn't concentrate without an explosion every 2 minutes.
