Limited animation?
No hate here. It's cute.
It just feels more like an animatic or slide show than a finished animation.
As for the hate...It's Disney. Relax.

There are two versions of this; the 'not very animated' version which is like a slide show, which is probably the one you saw, and then there's the fully animated version.
Still watch this often with my nephew :)
