Message to Zendaya

I'm not very familiar with Zendaya's work, so I really have no opinion with regards to how she would haved faired in this disaster of a movie.

I do know that she did receive a vast amount of unfair, subjective, superficial criticism when it was announced that she was cast in the lead role of Aailiyah. As a result, she was subsequently dropped from the movie and replaced by Alexandra Shipp.

Message to Zendaya...Everything happens for a reason. Be thankful that
the planets aligned and that you were sparred from this awful, train-wreck, patchwork Lifetime disaster. Your career will be better for it in the long term.

She wasn't dropped. She dropped out due to the lack of production value, the family not approving of the movie, and issues with music rights according to rumors.

Also the backlash she received after she was announce as the lead surely didn't help.

reply

She did right. Even though these young actress see this as a resume builder its really not. Zendya would been receiving the backlash too like Shipp was too last night had she gone through.

Zendaya will always have her disney money, but I am calling it right now:

Alexandra Shipp will have had the more successful career 10 years from now.

You can save this post for reference.

reply

I get the feeling that Shipp is going to go unheard of in a few years

Save the date: December 31, 2014 is Cassie's big day!!!

reply

Well, Shipp is in the new N.W.A. biopic. She plays Cube's wife. I think she's a mediocre actress though. I didn't think she was good in Drum line 2 either

reply

and why?

reply

I like Zendaya for respecting the family's wishes. I won't watch this movie. It looks terrible anyway.

reply

Zendaya made a smart choice! She would've never heard the end of it!

reply

AMEN!

reply

She was smart dropping out of the movie. While I kinda enjoyed the movie, I'm glad she is not associated with it.
