did shipp actually sing for this movie?

i know they couldn't use aaliyah's songs because they had no access to her masters, but i went into this movie thinking they would've got someone (an actual singer) to dub over the singing parts. was just scrolling around on youtube and there were a few comments mentioning it was actually shipp singing. so, was it her? if it was, i actually thought she sounded nice when she sung save the best for last. sounds nothing like aaliyah, but i'd say that's a pretty good effort for someone whose occupation isn't a singer
