This show is already a Fraud

The two Canadians were way better than the "pros" yet the Canadians lost. Since there is 10,000 at stake each week if the contestants win, the producers can just have the judges vote for them not to win.

I though in the first EP those two Canadians trick was way better than the picket pocket trick. Pick pocketing isn't even match. All that trick really was was the prection thing. Lame.

Yeah, the pickpocket routine has been seen over and over and over and it's not new. But of course, a bunch of pro magicians aren't going to tell other pro magicians that their routine was outdated and crap.

And I thought that the "trouble" the 2 pros had with their device sort of gave them time to finesse the drawing on their chalkboard before the reveal.

The Canadians were better, their act was better. In fact, both of their performances were great and they get zero. What a crock.

I thought this show would be fun. You are right though. The results of the first episode stank. The Canadians were fun, interesting, funny, and impressive. The "pros" actually bored me at times. The pickpocket jokes quickly got old. They took too long to do what was basically one trick. It wasn't even a close call. The pros won though, and I'm done watching the show.

I will say this too.

If no one told me and I just saw the performance of the two Canaidains, I would have no clue they were not an act together.
That is how good they were.

And you are right they took too long for what was one trick and that is why the other team lost in the prelims because their one trick dragged on too much.

I like the magic part of this show. I think I will just need to shut it off before they says who wins. Or they should be letting the crowd vote who wins and not the pro's.

Yes, they worked great together.

Annoying that the "pros" were given a huge compliment for working well together. They did, I admit, but it was obvious they had more time to get to know each other. You can even see the other "pros" way over cheering for them.

I won't bother with a Spoiler alert, but I was upset when the "Pros" won Ep 1. As soon as he lifted that blanket up high over his head, I called "They're doing a switch." If I can see it coming, why were P&T pretending to be so blown away by the the big 'surprise' finish?

Plus the house wizards on the show have such a huge advantage of being more experienced and working together longer. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to develop chemistry between two performers on-stage? And they get to choose the two out of four who are best-suited to compete against the winning amateur pair.

Even when the house wizards lose to the contestants, P&T gush at how wonderful and creative their awful performance was. Pickpockets in 2014? C'mon son.

Reality? Totally fake.

Have you watched other episodes? If so, do you still think the results are fixed?
