It just seemed like they didn't go all out like they did on Namek. I mean I guess they really couldn't have as it would destroy the Earth. The fighting did not have enough Earth shattering attacks. The Kame hame at the end did not even seem that strong.

Yeah that's been the elephant in the room ever since Roshi destroyed the Moon. I've seen some explanations that state the good guys condense the energy to make the blasts not as destructive to the planet but there's no reason why bad guys (especially ones capable of breathing in space) should have the same consideration.
