Car wreck of Brandon and Kella?

Brandon Tartikoff and his daughter Kella were in a car accident during the shows run. He was the executive producer at nbc. Both survived the accident. What they said in the movie is it did not look good for the little girl. She had to be taught everything all over and continues to have therapy to this day. Tartikoff passed away from cancer in 1997.
