To Anyone Who Has Played

I am going to get this game, but not at the moment. I just want some user reviews before I buy it

It is phenomenal

It is really damn good.

Get it now.

I can't stop playing it.

I swear to God I'll pistol whip the next guy who says "Shenanigans."

The hype is real. ;)

It's a hard game for typical players. There are some annoying things about it (like the 45 second load times when going back to the main hub to level up skills, etc), but if you've played Demon's Souls or either of the Dark Souls games, this'll be right up your alley.

I just wish I had more time to actually play it. I always find it a bit crazy that so many people just burned through the whole 40 hr experience in less than one week.

The beginning hours of the game are really the hardest to get through makes you want to give up but don't because as soon as you beat the first boss the fun really begins. Its a phenomenal game I recommend it.

I've finally played this game. You all were right, the hype was worth it. I'm kinda gonna use this for my review.
First off the level structure of the game is top notch. You have freedom (sort of) to go in which direction you want and this was my favorite part. The fighting and animations are flawless, from the trick weapon to the quick attack everything pieces together fluently. I'm only up to the Boss - Father Frangione (something like that) the weapon and level up and workshops works well with this game.
The negative I have is that there are some spots where if you come across it like a point on the stairs or the bonfires and tombstones I get stuck and have no way out of this invisible barrier thing and I have to reset the game.
(Lots of progress is lost dueto this) Other then that the game is very challenging the beginning is the hardest with only limited clothing and weapon choices. I've played dark souls a little and this feels harder, there's more in each life more items and objects. I give this game a 9.5/10 not perfect due to the anger of glitch spots.

The same thing has happened to me. ( getting stuck) Don't reset though, if you select "exit game" from the menu it will automatically save your progress, then when you continue you will load up in the same area, but not stuck.
Also Father Gascoine is the second boss, you've missed one somewhere. Good thing is, if you can handle Gascoine , the first one will be a piece of cake.

I had no problem with Father Gascoigne. I beat him on the 4th or 5th try.....didn't realize the power of visceral attacks until that fight. The Cleric Beast on the other hand.....I was cursing at my TV saying he was too hard for a first boss. At that point, I thought I had to beat him to progress and I was so damn frustrated. I'm a seasoned Dark Souls player and I'm still having issues. I even know the strategies to beat him and still struggling. At least he's optional for now. I think it's the camera more than anything.

reply

Wow thank you. Didn't know. Cleric is much easier then the father. So hard!!! Finally got em'.
