Just about everything is not stroking with reality

This movie is about André Hazes? No. This movie is made by and 85% about Rachel van Galen, his third and final wife. She controlled (too) much of the creative flow of this movie by swapping around key-moments in the life of André, by glorifying small moments in his life and right-out ignoring big ones, but mostly by turning everything in this movie to her hand, for example by being portraited as a mother Theresa and supporting André in every (stupid) move he does in this feature.

The guy was pretty naive and rough at the edges, but most of all he was a down to earth great son of a bitch (in the best way possible). He was NOT a stupid retard. And that's exactly something this movie is trying to implicate, that he became a downright drunk as a consequence of both being beaten up pretty badly by his father back when he was a kid, and because of losing his best friend Tim Griek, the guy who took him under his wings when Hazes got to EMI in 1979. It just doesn't add up. The late second ex-wife got a kick in her grave by being portrayed as a golddigger, wearing fur coats and not having much attention otherwise for André's career, but Rachel is portrayed as "the victim, the loveable housemom who has to live with this moron who drank himself to death".

And then I'm not even talking about the mixed-up dates, different characters or persons placed in completely different timezones, but big stuff, like André drunk urinating inside a Chinese restaurant, rehearsals for a big concert around the time André died (although there were no plans for such a concert back then, he just had a big concert).

Puh-fricking-lease. "Zij gelooft in mij", well, don't believe a single thing in this movie. Do some additional research (read 'André Hazes en Ik' by Jos van Zoelen) and you'll get what I mean.
