Hidden gem?

From what I've seen of this film it looks like it's definitely one to look out for. Any ideas when I might get my hands on it?

Not nearly in Blue Ruin's league, but very much worth seeing and very much in the same vein.

Prepare your minds for a new scale of physical, scientific values, gentlemen.

Blue ruin was just a typical revenge flick, samey samey..This was quite original and had cool vibe I liked it.

Coz lifes too short to listen to Madlib

I totally agree with your assessment of both films. Spot on.

I actually enjoyed Blue Ruin. Most revenge flicks feature an invincible hero who happens to be ex-armed forces or CIA or something. BR was more authentic and believable. However, I do agree about Cop Car. It's like Blood Simple meets Stand By Me. If you liked it, you may like my YouTube video from a channel I just started up. Check it out and let me know!

It is good but not hidden.

I randomly saw this movie last night -- best film I've seen in a very long time.

Very dark movie -- and I fcking hate Kevin Bacon but he was all right in this.

Good little thriller.

reply

It can't be that 'hidden', with Kevin Bacon in it, but yes, it is terrific.

LOVE this movie. Pacing is perfect, cinematogaphy, score, dialogue.. everything.
Movies now seem to be aimed at retaining attention of idiots with a cacophony of noise, dialogue and activity. This was just right - a sedate direction with a slow racheting up of tension.

Definitely one of my new favorites! Appreciate the opportunity to guess at the kids' back story.

Very glad to find a movie that doesn't rely on smart aleck kids who are smarter than all the adults around them. These kids are just "kids". So refreshing.
