I stopped this movie halfway. Couldn't finish it.

It was way too slow, way too boring, and had way too little dialogue and character development. I just couldn't get invested in the plot or the characters enough to care about what happened next. And believe me, it was a struggle sitting through just those first 40-45 minutes.

Did I miss anything that special or interesting in the second half? Does it get any better in the second half? Without spoiling anything please, in case I decide to finish it.

It ended stupidly, so you would have been even more disappointed.

There was an alien invasion and they turned the town folk into zombies and then a tornado hit and everyone died.

Yeah same here. I usually enjoy slow burners but this was tedious.
