Camera use in this movie annoying and dull!

Camera use in this movie annoying and dull! I thought I was watching this movie throu a peep hole. Visually annoying and dull. Could not get into to it, if it was good, I'd never know it.

It's filmed that way, with the close ups, the tight aspect ratio and long takes to give you a feeling of claustrophobia, it worked for the majority of people, but I can see it not being for everyone.

I knew there was going to be someone who used the word "claustrophobia". It seems it's an excuse to me because there were also no wide shots of rooms. This is particularly annoying when the main character is walking from one room to another and the camera is following him the entire way. Is he inside or outside? How many people are in the room? Are they in a bunker or a cell? Who is he taking too? There are way too may directing flaws with this movie.

I'm not sure about the feeling of claustrophobia.

I think it was more of a way to make us understand how Saul had to mentally disconnect with his surroundings. It is also why he barely ever leaves the frame unless the director wants to frame what Saul is directly looking at, or what his interest is fixated on. What we are left with is the masterful soundwork of Tamás Zányi, who should've won an Oscar.

Later that day, after tea... I died, suddenly.

It actually made me sick to my stomach which was a shame because it made it very hard to watch and read the subtitles. To me, it was like taking my glasses on and off constantly. If i had watched this in a theatre, I am sure I would have had to leave.
I had to watch for a while, go do something else and then watch some more. that made the emotional impact less effective for me. I am going to see if there is a book so I can try again.

i felt something alright, although it was more nausea than claustrophobia
