Funny

I watch many stand up specials on Netflix and rarely chuckle. I laughed out loud many times through this one. Her style is comfortable an relatable. I first saw her one the pilot episode of Louie and never have her a second though, but after watching this special, I re watched that episode of Louie and got excited when she appeared. Now I'm in love with her, and not sure how to tell her. I'm also drunk.

Right out of the gate I LOVED the way she played the "Gina" character on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the laid back douchebag attitude, the way she quietly mumbled insults and stuff. But some comedic actors are good at doing a character, but not funny themselves.

I did not expect her stand-up to be as hilarious as this. Some of the material was very fresh, and often a quick one-liner instead of a lengthy story for a single laugh. AND I personally really liked the risk-taking with all the cut-aways to the audience. I'm sure as others view this it will reveal itself to be very polarizing, but I for one am glad that little detail was part of this special! You don't often see someone take the chance on alienating an audience by giving them something a bit DIFFERENT than what is standard. So I respected what she was trying to do -- but also, it worked!

So, well done, Chelsea! And also thanks for not bombing in this special, I can officially say that I no longer hate your first name for female comics! You brought it, girl! You are truly one of the greats now. ;)
