i don't like it either, a very dark male voice would fit better.

Yes, Tardar Sauce is a female cat. In my opinion, Aubrey is the perfect choice for this role. But I don't think she made the perfect choice by agreeing to star in this film. I enjoy the memes. Making Grumpy Cat into a movie is taking things a bit too far.

But after seeing the trailer, Aubrie's voice is just as good.
I'm not all that familar with Aubrey Plaza, but doesn't she tend to play grumpy/taciturn characters?
