Were you really expecting much in the way of originality? Not to mention there are a bunch of these movies floating around.
Exorcist was totally different thing. You are mixing this movie with the other which were two very opposite things.
Try watching "exorcism of emily rose" and then see the difference.
Don't forget the jump out of the window. The after bar scene was cool, though. :D
shareIt is completely, even the title music is like tubular bells. The window scene, the vomit. Even the flicking tounges for Christ sake!
I always like a possession flick even though there's not a whole lot of originality there's atleast usually one unique edge. The whole handicam element in the last exorcism for one.
not to mention the fact that the asylum's receptionist jumping off the window ledge to her death was reminiscent of damien's nanny jumping out of the window to hang herself in 'the omen'..
it wasn't the fall from her 16th-floor penthouse that killed her, it was the landing
These B exorcism films all try to be like the Original Exorcist, never going to happen. They end up embarrassing themselves make the actors look desperate.
