Certainly being just an alcoholic wont do that to you.

I think at the party drinks were probably free. The bartender offered him a drink to get him to leave the stripper alone.

Because he's a heavy drinking alcoholic. The man sized bee was part of a dream as he had fallen asleep at the wheel.

The thing that really matters here, is these were some fun moments with Holland. And realistic or not (he clearly dreamt the man sized bee though), seeing him act that way was both hilarious and interesting. Gosling should do more comedic stuff.
