Last act was horrid.

I usually don't watch these types of movies, but holy hell was that last act a train wreck. They just spend all movie setting up their relationship then just blow through all the mile stones and put her into a coma... Like 10 minutes earlier they just decided they liked each other. Then we get a long drawn out montage of the guy deciding if he should let her die, but instead she is just awake. I guess the writer just needed the movie to run another half hour. I mean if they stopped it before the car wreck scene, it would have ended exactly the same.

Also, I guess other choices were made but to call the movie "The Choice" and then he doesn't really make a choice, also a bit ridiculous. More like The Wait.

His choice was to not turn off her breathing machine after 90 days which is what her ex-fiance doctor was suggesting.

It was much more of a "choice" in the book, for what it's worth.
