Are you kidding me?

This is just a terrible movie.

For example "switching off" someone in a coma requires the coma patient to be connected to some sort of machine. The Dad in this is just asleep in a bed. No tubes, no wires.
What were they going to do in two weeks? Smother the Dad with a pillow?
Just one of the many many things wrong with this awful amature waste of time and money.
Next time try having a coherent storyline first, then try better at getting the casting right. Don't dub over the vet with a voice actor that doesn't even make an effort to match the words with the original actor.
This was embarrassing for all involved. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for letting it happen at all. I can't even say it was the worst movie I've ever seen because that would require actually giving it some recognition for something.

Good catch. The nurse also says later in the movie that "they tend to speak a lot during this phase, but it's just reaction to the nerves." I'm by no means an expert on comas but that sounds completely absurd and nonsensical.

Another thing in the incredibly long list of absurdities in this "movie"
