Is it just me, or are the review ratings & comments EXTREMELY negative?

This is one thing that REALLY continues to bother me about this site. We all come here for fairly balanced, genuine reviews and responses to the films. BUT... and I seem to be seeing this more and more, and for me it is TRULY almost completely ruining this site for me, which is quite sad, since I've practically LIVED here for the last several years.

As I mention in my review of this film here, YES, I also get very tired of OBVIOUS planted and biased reviews in favour of films that aren't that good. Fine... But, in this case here, if you carefully examine the ratings of the reviews, I think that I can see a VERY clear bias against the film here that is quite negative.

Does it seem 'NORMAL' to any of you that almost EVERY negative review has almost a perfect, high rating...? 5/5, 8/8, 10/10, 25/26... And, EVERY positively slanted review has an unusually very low rating like 2/10, 1/6, 2/8, etc... seemingly regardless of the merit or quality of the review itself. Does this seem naturally occurring to you? Can almost EVERY person who actually takes the time to rate a review REALLY feel IDENTICALLY the same...? Come on... As far as a bunch of people coming here and simply RATING the film 9 or 10 stars, sure, that is pretty obvious. BUT... as far as the detailed written reviews themselves, how can almost ALL of them be consistently rated almost identically all good or all bad...? To me, that is just plainly NOT likely.

It's this kind of stuff that REALLY starts to get to me and really negates and diminishes the enjoyment and helpfulness of this site. I guess there is nothing that can be done about it, I don't know... Maybe some kind of algorithm or metric that doesn't allow new sign-ups to rate other reviews? Or at least limits how many times a new sign-up can rate reviews?

Anyway, I just thought I'd throw that out there to see if anyone else noticed this phenomenon here in how the written reviews of this film are being rated.

As far as the film goes, like I said in my review... It's no masterpiece and the first and last 5 minutes or so are excruciatingly painful. But, all 'n all, I felt that the look, feel, acting, and basics of the story were done rather well. Nothing monumental, but certainly I felt having seen literally thousands of Horror films, a decent, above average effort from the film makers and actors.

Oh well... like I say... there is nothing really we can do about this kind of thing IF it indeed is being done. I suppose we just have to put up with it.

Sad though, I feel...

I now have over 7000 films; many of them very rare and OOP. I LOVE to trade. PLEASE ASK! 
