Feminism again? Kiara is destined to rule, and not the first born MALE?

Come on already. This is completely ridiculous.

Female lions don't rule prides, the Males do. We didn't have this PC nonsense back in 1994 when The Lion King was made...... why inject it now? The country doesn't want this crap.

It doesn't matter if Kiara is the "first born", and Kion is "second born"....... it's about which is the first born SON. Male lions rule, not females.

This is sad. Disney, why concede to feminists? They are loud and obnoxious, but the majority of the country doesn't agree with it.

LOL it's just a cartoon. Don't take it so seriously.

Somehow, it actually doesn't bother me that Kiara is the one to rule since she is the first born. Besides, if she tragically had passed on, then chances are that Kion would be able to take over the throne.

reply

Yea I find it funny how people take issue over it because it's not like real life. Where does it say that the Lion King universe is the same as ours? The rules of who gets to be King or Queen can be anything they want.

If they made Kion king, it would be just a repeat of what we've already seen in "The Lion King". Maybe that's why Disney wanted to make it a new twist to have Kiara ruling the pridelands.

You dodge a question like a character dodges a punch on Mortal Kombat.-IceJJFish

Kiara as a character was always destined to be Queen, they can't just wipe something as major as that out.

I'm actually glad that they gave Kion a different role, adds originality and uniqueness, if Kion was King it would of just been TLK all over again to be honest.

Sorry you didn't notice but the show is about something called the Lion Guard. We are explained to that the younger sibling (the one who is not set to be King/Queen) is in charge of, they backtracked to how Scar was in charge of one too but messed up. Kion seemingly has been made for this role, if they changed it about because of gender and gave him Kiara's role than he would not be in charge of the Lion Guard. I guess she would which probably would anger you women hating type even further :D

This is not really about feminism, it makes more sense and to anyone who is not living in a world where women are considered inferior, should not cause a thing. Simba is the king anyway and I do not know what you are referring to with lion behaviour and how Kion would be king, he would leave the pride when old enough, it is the female lions who usually stay in their related prides.

Feminists are annoying and loud, but you're complaining about the order of succession for some cartoon lions.

reply

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in nature males have to leave the pride when they grow up. Besides that, Kovu is going to be on Kiaras side someday.
