Yes. It was originally going to be shown in theatres one weekend but was shown the next weekend as well because of popular demand. Then it was released on DVD on December 16th. Just watched it on CTV and it was hilarious.

who would popularity demand this? Is this what other Canadians find funny, a cast of marginal-at-best talents who think they are better and funnier than a US sitcom? What a state of affairs in this country when such a smug, lame-ass show can be perceived as being 'witty'.

It's funny. It's the highest rated Canadian TV movie ever.
The show is already a piece of Canadiana. It has a huge following because it's good.
Funny, how>? I watched this whole thing and didn't laugh at the lame-ass attempts at humor once, The Big Bang Theory has more out and out laughs in it's pre-title scenes that this we're-so-proud-to-be-Canadian- and-we're-even smug-about-it sitcom has in its entire 90 minutes. And TBBT cast don't act as if they think they're funny, they just naturally are.

Unlike the US, we Canadians don't rely on "on-the-nose" toilet humour. It's sarcastic, self aware humour. Gotta use your brain cause the jokes aren't spoon fed.
