I want to know too. I like her. I hope it's not for serious health reasons. Maybe it's like Harrison's Ford broken leg in Star Wars 7 filming.
shareI can't answer that but I noticed it as well. She also looked like she was wearing heavy pancake makeup and her usually forceful voice was at times a bit wheezy. My guess is that she has some health problems. Eric Peterson (playing her hubby) on the other hand was fit enough to do his own stunt hanging upside down in his snare.

^ I agree and have just assumed it would be mentioned somewhere by now that the actress needed the scooter and it just got written in for her convenience. Does anybody have official news on the matter?

Actually she did walk in some scenes, but I'm guessing she has mobility issues and so relies on the scooter most of the time nowadays.

And the brilliant writers of "Corner Gas" found a way to incorporate it into the action AND draw humor from it. (Not schoolyard pointing and laughing humor, just the kind of offbeat stuff that made this show great.) :) Have any of you seen the Jessica Biel film "The Tall Man," in which Janet has a small role?
