No wonder it was Mtv-ish. It was too artsy wannabe for me. The hallucination scene was cool tho, but I just felt like he tried too hard on this one. There were scenes where they got clips from YouTube or something, would have been fine for a made for TV film not for the big screen.

***no wonder Nev Schulman made a cameo, his random appearance makes sense now.

I noticed Nev in that party scene and I couldn't help but think "are you *beep* kidding me??"

Yeah I'm watching Catfish now and heard Nev say Max wouldn't be around for five episodes due to directing this movie. Seems like he'd have been better off doing the Catfish episodes.

His direction seemed alright to me. Besides, if he wants to direct he has to start somewhere and learn from it - like they all do.
